2023 100g Bulang shan Sheng Puerh Cake

Puerh tea is an aged, fermented, probiotic laden tea.  Great for gut health, focused attention and...wait for it..hangovers! We're not sure of the science behind this but we can attest to it! This tea is new to our roster.  It is a "young" raw (so not overly fermented) Puerh and which comes from Bulang Shan, one of six famous tea mountain in Meng hai, Yunnan province, China.  Flavour wise, this tea has a well balanced character, with plenty of sweetness, thick mouthfeel, a solid backbone of pleasant bitterness and astringency, and enduring fragrance from steep to steep. Classical raw puer should have a slight cooling sensation in the mouth and throat, and a flavour that sticks around after it’s been drunk, with a returning sweet aftertaste. As two year young raw bulang shan pu erh, it is a strong, fresh tea. If you hang on to it, it continue t o ferment, gaining a slightly more gentle and smooth finish year by year.
