Description: Gyokuro Asahi translates as “noble dewdrop” — one of Japan’s most prized green teas. Grown under large shade trees, the plants are further covered with bamboo mats two weeks before harvest, slowing growth and increasing chlorophyll content. The result: deep, dark green leaves with a rich, sweet aroma, fewer tannins and a strong, fresh, lasting flavour. A true treasure of Japanese tea culture.
