Description: An award-winning oolong from Hsinchu County in northern Taiwan with one of the more interesting origin stories in tea. Its distinctive flavour comes from the chemicals the plant produces in response to the leaf hopper bug feeding on its leaves — a natural defence mechanism that results in a tea with honeyed sweetness, a fruity aroma and none of the bitterness typical of heavily oxidized teas. Bug-bitten, and better for it.
