Description: Organic heather is a new herb to our rotation. While it has been used in Celtic traditions for everything from bedding to broom making, we love it's gentle support as a natural diuretic and antiseptic, relieving bladder, urinary and kidney related ailments, as an anti-inflammatory focused on digestive and respiratory issues as well as rheumatoid arthritis and for it's antioxidant properties that can help to dampen oxidative stress and improve cholesterol balance. The plant contains various bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, phenolic acids, arbutin, and essential oils, which contribute to its medicinal effects.
